In early 2022 I met up with the now-Los Angeles-based artist Steph Butchko to photograph her in her studio as she prepared to present her body of work “Icons in Place of Self”.

Steph and I had work featured in the magazine BATSHIT TIMES. I became an instant fan after seeing her art in the magazine and I began following her work. A while later I reached out to her to see if she’d be interested in collaborating on a shoot, and this was the result. Steph has continued to create visually arresting, thought-provoking work, and I would highly recommend you checking it out.
